TERMS
By placing an order at mommynecklaces.com, you agree to the following terms:
PAYMENT
Payment must be made in full before your order is completed and shipped. Mommy Necklaces, LLC. (MN) accepts all major credit cards and PayPal. Paypal.com is a free online service that allows you to pay using a credit card, debit card, or a bank account. Mommy Necklace gift cards may be redeemed on our website only; they are not transferable for use at other retailers that carry Mommy Necklaces. You may only use one MN Gift Card per transaction (or order).
SHIPPING
Mommy Necklaces ships via USPS First Class Mail with Delivery Confirmation. We offer flat rate shipping, with one low fee regardless of your order size. Domestic shipping is $2.00; international shipping is $4.00. Please allow approximately 3 to 5 business days after placing an order for it to be shipped. Because of the custom nature of our product, this processing time may be longer or shorter depending on our current order volume, which can be unpredictable. You will be notified via e-mail when your order ships; after this date, please allow 1 week for domestic delivery and 3 weeks for international delivery.
If you need an item before a particular date, please contact us before you place your order. We are more than happy to see what we can do for you.
RUSH SHIPPING
Mommy Necklaces also offers rush shipping via USPS Priority Mail. The flat rate cost is $8.00 for domestic rush and $13.00 for international rush. To upgrade your mail service, simply choose Rush Shipping at checkout. Rush orders are guaranteed to ship within 48 hours. Rush orders that are in stock will ship within 24 hours; rush orders that are not in stock will be custom made as quickly as possible and will ship within 48 hours. In the event that we cannot rush process your order, we will notify you and refund either your entire order or your rush shipping fee at your discretion.
Please note that domestic Priority Mail usually arrives in 1-3 business days after shipping and international Priority Mail in 5-7 business days after shipping. However, Priority Mail is not a USPS-guaranteed form of delivery, which means that USPS does not guarantee delivery within this time frame. Because MN cannot control how fast the mail travels, we cannot offer a refund if your order does not arrive by the expected delivery date. We can guarantee that it will leave us in 48 hours or less, but after the order ships, it is in the hands of the USPS.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
We guarantee your satisfaction with your purchase, and we want you to love your MommyNecklaces.com purchase. If, however, you are unhappy for any reason with your purchase, you may return a new necklace within 7 days of receipt. If you love our jewelry, but your latest order just isn't quite working for you, you may also opt to exchange your purchase. If the length or style of your necklace is not a good fit for you, or if the in-person colors are different than what you expected when buying from our website, we'd love to connect you with something that fits your style better.
To make a return or exchange, you MUST contact us within 7 days of receipt, confirmed via the Delivery Confirmation date on your package. Purchases may be returned within 7 days of receipt. We absolutely do NOT accept returns after 7 days. We strictly enforce this policy, and so it is important that you contact us via e-mail as soon as possible after receiving your order. All necklaces, bracelets, and earrings must be returned unworn and undamaged, and in the original packaging. All returns are subject to the final sole discretion of MN, and we reserve the right to refuse to restock and refund items that we cannot regard as new. Returns and exchanges will be refunded at your purchase price, minus the shipping charge. Refunds are issued in the same manner as payment was made, via credit card or Paypal payment. Any difference in payment that you owe to us (if you are exchanging a less expensive item for a more expensive one) can be settled via Paypal, credit card, or check. Please note that exchanges are limited to two (2) exchange transaction per order, and that there is a limit of six (6) exchanges per customer per year. If you have a weak closure or one that doesn't properly 'snap', contact us within 7 days. We will not replace closures that are reported to us later than 7 days. After 7 days, the integrity of the closure is your responsibility. If you intend to give your purchase as a gift, inspect it as soon as you get it. Take it out of its pouch, check for any issues, and test the strength of the closure. If you have a previous purchase that needs a replacement closure for any reason, you will be charged restranding fees + $1.50 for the new closure components. (note: Closures will vary in strength. Some may snap very tight and others not-so-much. Your closure is considered 'weak', if it is falling off with a simple touch. Obviously, this is a nuisance and could result in a lost necklace also.)
To submit a return request, e-mail us at orders@mommynecklaces.com, and we will reply as soon as possible. Any e-mails received during the weekend will be answered the following Monday. When submitting your request, include your name, address, order number, and the reason for return; please be sure to include this same information inside the return package. You are responsible for return shipping to MN; if you are exchanging your purchase, MN will ship the new item to you for $2.00. (Please see Special Purchase Returns below for exceptions to this return policy.)
SPECIAL PURCHASE RETURNS
There are three exceptions to the return policy stated above:
1) Mommy Necklaces periodically offers specials or sales. We will indicate at the time of sale if the purchase is offered "As is", meaning that it is ineligible for returns or exchanges. All "As is" sales are final.
2) Custom orders do not qualify for return or for a refund. For custom pieces, we will work with you to make your design perfect, even if that means that you send it back to MN for adjustments. We are committed to creating the design you envision, and so we will waive the fee for the first alteration. You remain responsible for all shipping costs.
3) MN can accommodate special size requests, meaning sizes that do not appear in the drop-down menus on the product pages. These custom lengths are eligible for a partial refund of 70% of the purchase price. The other 30% is used by MN for production and material fees. Because a custom length is unlikely to be ordered again, we must re-strand even those in new condition. This also applies to designs such as a custom Flourish piece (2 colors or more).
REWARD POINTS
We think that our necklaces are pretty amazing: Versatile, functional, customizable, inspired jewelry that is durable enough to meet your life's challenges and stylish enough to make you shine with extra confidence. And as if those features aren't fantastic enough, Mommy Necklaces is proud to offer you one of the best rewards programs around. One reward point is awarded to you for every dollar you spend when you purchase from MommyNecklaces.com or an authorized retailer. Redeem your reward points for a MN gift card that can be used at MommyNecklaces.com, and treat yourself to an extra MN or two (or more)! We appreciate you and are thrilled to show you just how much.
To begin accumulating points, you need to have a registered account on MommyNecklaces.com. To view or redeem your reward points, simply log in to your account. Redeem your points at any of the levels specified below by logging in and clicking Redeem. While reward points are not transferable between accounts, they do not expire.
Purchases from authorized MN retailers are eligible for conversion into reward points at MommyNecklaces.com. However, only purchases made at 90-100% of MSRP (full retail value) can be redeemed for the full number of points. Purchases made at a discount greater than 10% off MSRP are may be redeemed for half the points of the purchase price. (E.g. If you paid $20 for a MN that was discounted more than 10%, you may redeem the purchase for 10 reward points.) Reward points may or may not be offered during our online sales. The terms of sale will state if purchases from a particular sale are eligible for points. Purchases made from a half-off or deal-of-the-day website are not eligible for reward points.
To redeem points from an authorized retailer, please forward the electronic receipt to rewards@mommynecklaces.com, making sure to include your name. If you purchased from a brick-and-mortar store, you can mail a copy of the receipt to us, or you can scan the original receipt and send it to our Rewards e-mail address. Please contact rewards@mommynecklaces.com with all questions or comments regarding reward points.

GIVEAWAYS
All necklaces won from Mommy Necklaces are "As is": Giveaway necklaces are not returnable or exchangeable, though of course our quality guarantees apply to giveaways. Please allow up to 2 weeks (domestic) and 6 weeks (international) for your necklace to arrive via USPS. And, congrats!
The MN giveaway clock resets every January and July, and previous winners become eligible to win again. For example, someone who wins in February will wait until July to become eligible again, but a lucky December winner is eligible as soon as January rolls in. Good luck!
LENGTH ADJUSTMENTS, RESTRANDS & ALTERATIONS
More than anything, we want you to find your Mommy Necklaces stylish AND comfortable to wear. Mommy Necklaces is pleased to offer restrands and alterations for MNs purchased from MommyNecklaces.com and from authorized retailers. Purchasing your necklace from our website or from an authorized retailer allows you the freedom to request changes to your necklace in the future at a low cost. We understand that your style may change; that you may lose weight and want a different look; that you may not need a certain length for nursing anymore. Whatever your reason, MN is happy to accommodate your changing style needs and to keep YOU happy with your Mommy Necklace.
Your request for a restrand or alterations must be accompanied by proof of purchase, so that we can verify the original purchase. Any purchases made from us directly will be on file with MN; please include the original order number from your buyer history, available in your MN.com account. If you bought your MN from an authorized retailer but no longer have the original proof of purchase, contact that retailer about an electronic receipt. Many online retailers and brick-and-mortar stores keep electronic receipts that they may be able to e-mail to you or print if requested. If you are giving a MN as a gift, please be sure to include a gift receipt for the recipient so that she can adjust her necklace as needed. If you would like to have your Mommy Necklace altered, please contact us via email to let us know what you'd like to change about the size. After you receive approval from us, make sure to include this note and your proof of purchase or original order number inside the package when you send your MN back for adjustments. All restrand or alteration requests will be charged a restrand fee, an alteration fee (if applicable), and a shipping fee, as follows:
Restranding Fees (regardless of purchase date):
Restrands up to 24" - $3.00 (per necklace)
Restrands over 24" to 32" - $4.25 (per necklace)
Restrands over 32" - $5.00
Alteration Fees (major changes on your existing necklaces, but still using 85% of bead materials from your necklace):
Alterations up to 24" - $2.50 (per necklace)
Alteration over 24" to 32" - $3.25
Alteration over 32" - $4.00
Shipping Fees (add $1.50 for international shipments)
Shipping & Handling for 1 - 2 Necklaces - $4.00
Shipping & Handling 3 or More Necklaces - $6.00
Please note, the fees above do include the beads used to add length (up to 4") as well as any new beads that may be added to accommodate your alteration request. These fees only apply if you are outside the return/exchange period noted above. Please see the terms above (Returns and Exchanges) if you've recently purchased your necklace and would like to exchange it.
Unfortunately, MN cannot alter MNs purchased from on-line deal sites, or from MN.com during an "As is" stock sale or special (the "As is" condition will be specified at the time of sale). All sales are FINAL and "As is" on these items. Of course, we still offer our Zero-to-Three Guarantee from breakage on these necklaces. (Please see details below.)
CUSTOM DESIGN REQUESTS
It will happen: You get one, two, and then three Mommy Necklaces. Yet you still find yourself longing for something different. Whether you want a unique Mommy Necklace for a special occasion or for everyday wear, we periodically grant approval to custom design requests.
To be granted approval, you must own at least one MN. Why? Before you can ask for something custom, you must have some experience with the MN style. If this is your first MN, we will not grant your request.
To be granted approval, you must be specific and flexible with your request. Why? Ultimately, we will stay true to the MN brand and design within our style. Our final design must reflect who and what we are as designers. Our basic bead flow and complimentary color compositions will always be the starting structure for our designs, custom or not. However, we will make every possible effort to bring your vision to life. We will offer you suggestions if we feel your custom request is not coming together as you may have planned. Our goal is to make you more than satisfied: We want to make you stylishly satisfied.
MN is passionate about making custom pieces: We LOVE it. However, due to the daily demands of our regular collection, we may not be able to take on every custom request. During exceptionally busy times for our company, MN may suspend all custom work.
All custom design requests are subject to approval by Raelynn, MN's lead designer. No more than four (4) custom requests per customer every three (3) months will be approved. However, if time is kind and allows extra custom design time, MN may take on additional design work that would allow more than the four-in-three-months limit. Again, all requests are subject to Raelynn's approval and MN's workload. The colors featured in our Flourish Collection are not available for custom design requests.

+ Design Fee
Our design fee is currently $5.00 per necklace. This fee grants your project our complete focus. This fee includes the pre-stranding labor of sorting, filtering, and combining your suggested beads and colors at the design table. This design fee may change at MN's discretion, though it will never change during the course of your order.
+ Fee Reduction
If your custom request is modeled after a out-of-production MN or previous exclusive, subtract 25% of the design fee. (We cannot recreate Vivacity, as it is a www.babyhalfoff.com exclusive.)
+ Stranding Fee
Stranding fees vary based on the length of your request.
up to 24": $4.00
26" to 34": $5.00
36" to 44": $6.00
Reward Point Eligibility
Custom Mommy Necklaces are eligible in full for reward points. However, you may not use a gift card redeemed by reward points to purchase a custom.
Custom Return Policy
Custom designs are non-refundable, but custom requests may be returned within 7 days of delivery for one free design alteration plus a restrand fee and shipping (see current restrand fees above). Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your custom if you want to alter it. MN will not charge for additional design time (which may include changing, adding or deleting beads). You are responsible for shipping costs to MN.
Custom Discounts
If you are requesting multiples of a single custom design, MN may offer a discount. Any such discount will be given on a case-by-case basis only. Please ask about this in your initial inquiry e-mail.
GUARANTEE
Mommy Necklaces are incredibly durable, but sometimes breakage happens. Rest assured, MNs are guaranteed, and we offer a unique Zero to Three Guarantee. While any yanking and breaking of necklaces usually occurs during a child's first three years -- thus our 0 to 3 Guarantee -- MN also guarantees our necklaces from other causes of breakage. If your necklace breaks, contact us with your name, address, approximate purchase date, place of purchase, and a description of what happened when the necklace broke. In turn, we will provide you with a mailing address to return your damaged necklace. Once received, we will restrand your necklace at no cost within 5-7 business days. You are responsible for the initial shipping cost to Mommy Necklaces and the $2.00 return shipping fee (payable by check or PayPal). Please note that while restranding due to breakage is free, your necklace will be restranded as is -- it does not qualify for any sizing or design changes.
If you own a Locked Donut design, please make sure your little one does not twist or wind up the donut. This repeated pressure on a Locked Donut may weaken the cording where it ties to the pendant. This is the only Mommy Necklace design that carries a higher risk of breakage than others.
PRIVACY
We are committed to ensuring the privacy of our customers. We do not sell or share e-mail addresses or any other information about our customers with third parties. Our company does not place you on a mailing list or collect your e-mail address. The only e-mails you will receive from us confirm your order and shipment and update your reward points if you have a registered account. Unless you have specific questions or comments, this is the only time we will communicate with you. We respect your privacy and guarantee your personal information is protected. OFFICIAL RELEASE FROM LIABILITY (... And no, Mommy Necklaces are not intended for use as a teething necklace.)
After teething necklaces made their market debut, some assumed that Mommy Necklaces donut pendants were also intended for teething. Please do not draw conclusions about our products based on the intended use of other products. MNs are in no way, shape or form recommended as teething toys or teething necklaces. We are a jewelry manufacturing company that produces items for adult wear. Its true that we test our beads for safety, because we don't want harmful chemicals leeching into a mouth that may make very brief contact with your necklace, or onto little hands, which later go into little mouths. However, this testing does not mean that the beads are meant to be chewed on. Soft, silicone-based products are recommended for teething, and our beads are made of a hard acrylic that is neither soothing nor safe for a baby to chew. While we are extremely flattered that our necklaces are drooled on in the course of a day, please remember to use MNs in the appropriate, intended way.
Further, as with any jewelry or necklace, small beads are a potential choking hazard. Please never allow a little one to play independently or unsupervised with a necklace. When purchasing a MN, you accept responsibility for its use, and you release us from the liability of its misuse.
OFFICIAL NOTICE OF DISCLAIMER When purchasing or using jewelry manufactured by Mommy Necklaces, LLC. you hereby release, discharge and agree to hold harmless the manufacturer of Mommy Necklaces, their heirs, legal representatives, assigns, employees or any persons or corporations acting under permission or authority of Mommy Necklaces from and against any liability as a result of any injury or damages sustained while using any necklace purchased or received from Mommy Necklaces. The user is solely responsible for the safety and well-being of themselves and those individuals under their care while using this product. Mommy Necklaces should only be used as intended, which is as adult jewelry. |
